About
us
Sargent & Young started life in 1990 as a small company with two partners
Nicky Sargent and Sally Young assisting overseas landlords with the
running of their homes and affairs in the UK.
Nicky Sargent, a local Barnes resident, had previously worked for many
years as a Personal Assistant and Secretary and Sally Young came from an
Estate Agent and Letting Agent background and brought with her a property
portfolio which included the Ham area.
The company quickly expanded into full Property Lettings and Management
with the addition of two more members of staff - Delia Mordaunt another
local resident and Diane Smart. Delia, having gained
experience in management and the legal world assisted with the property
management and legal aspects of the business. Diane has an
accounting background and was engaged to introduce and operate accounting
procedures to an ever-increasing client account and portfolio.
In 1993 Sally retired from the business to return to her native New
Zealand with her husband and children. At that stage Delia joined
Nicky as a business partner, followed shortly after by Diane Smart.
The company went from strength to strength and moved into larger offices
in White Hart Lane in 1995 where it has been a prominent member of the
shopping parade ever since with an active presence as co-ordinator of 'The
White Hart Lane Traders'.
In 1995 with the larger office came an additional member of staff, another
local resident, Maria Ryan who brought more secretarial skills to an ever
increasing workload of property management, she was later joined by Debbie
Young who shares the daily management challenges with her and Abi Smart
who takes care of photography and technical matters.
With a staff of six who all know the localities of Little
Chelsea, Barnes through Mortlake and Sheen to Ham, we pride ourselves on
knowing our areas intimately, which is our great strength.
In March 2005, we were acquired by
Boileaus Estate Agents, an independent Sales and Property Rental
Company which was established in 1991. This has enabled our Clients
to benefit from even wider marketing, not only in our core area, but
through the close association that Boileaus has with
Dixon Porter Estate Agents (SW14) so that we now offer marketing for
our Clients on both sides of the River Thames in West London.

and therefore, our Clients properties
will now also be marketed from the
Boileaus office in Church Road as well
as from White Hart Lane.

offer our available properties to let
within their areas.
